RGB to YPbPr Transcoder Module

Only one RGB to YPbPr Transcoder Module is needed per Scalable Video Switch regardless of how many inputs you need to transcode.

This is the RGB to YPbPr Transcoder Module. This module can transcode RGB signals into YPbPr (Component) signals. The module is placed on the output side of the SVS stack. Any output modules placed after this transcoder will be able to be transcoded, any output modules placed before this transcoder will not be transcoded and will output in the native color format of the input signal.

The custom color matrix conversion circuit in this module is based off of Mike Chi's RetroTink RGB2Comp device, with Mike's permission and technical input during the design process. Many thanks to Mike!

Features:

• Can convert RGBS, RGsB and RGBHV to YPbPr (otherwise known as Component Video).
• Per input conversion settings. Remembers if an input needs to be converted or should be passed through each time that input is selected.
• Fixed function Rec 601 color matrix conversion. Optimized for 240p and 480i signals.
• Higher resolution signals, 480p and above can also be converted by this module, but with imperfect color conversion due to slightly different Rec 709 color matrix math. This mode is officially unofficial if you have any issues with high resolutions signals, you've been warned.
